EFU 3 STAR TAPE BALL NIGHT CRICKET TOURNAMENT played on Friday the 17th JUNE 2011 between three cricket teams of EFU GENERAL INSURANCE LIMITED. The tournament was played at Kokan Family Park Cricket Ground, Bahadurabad, Karachi.
The following cricket teams of EFU GENERAL INSURANCE LTD participated in this Tape Ball Night Cricket Tournament.
1-EFU- H.O ELEVEN
2-EFU- S.I.T.E ELEVEN AND
3-EFU- CENTRAL ELEVEN.
This tape ball night cricket tournament was played at KOKAN FAMILY PARK CRICKET GROUND, Bahadurabad , Karachi. Tournament won by EFU H.O ELEVEN and they also remain unbeaten and EFU CENTRAL ELEVEN was the RUNNER-UP in this Night Cricket Tournament. EFU S.I.T.E DIV ELEVEN got 3rd position in this tape ball night cricket tournament. MR.Salman Rashid (S.E.D) Central Division , Mr.Khalid Mirza and Mr.javed Barry of UNIT-B Central Division distributed the prizes among the winner, runner-up and man of the match players of the tournament.
Supporters from these three cricket teams were present in the ground and enjoyed every ball of the tournament till the end of this night cricket tournament.
Mr.Hasanali Abdullah the Joint Managing Director EFU General Insurance Ltd and Mr.Jaffer Dossa Sr. Executive Director (Head of Southern Zone) also graced the occasion with their presence and opened the tournament by hitting an opening stroke in the ground.
Man of the match award received by Mr.Nadeem Baig of EFU Central Division (Auto Leasing Unit) , Mr.Waqas and Mr.Waheed of H.O Eleven cricket team received the man of the match award through Mr.Salman Rashid, Mr.Javed Barry and Mr.Khalid Mirza. Winner award received by Mr.Intikhab Ahmed through Mr.Salman Rashid Sr. Executive Director and head of EFU Central Division. Runner-up award jointly received by EFU Central Division Eleven Cricket Captain Syed Rashid Ali and Vice Captain Mr.Rizwan Hussain. Participation award given to EFU SITE ELEVEN Cricket Team Captain Mr. Asif Rasheed through Mr.Salman Rashid Sr. Executive Director and head of EFU Central Division . For the entertainment and refreshment of the all participating cricket team players, spectators and distinguished guests present in the ground Pani Puri (Gol Gappy ) and Gola Ganda (Ice Candy ) stalls were set in the ground and every one enjoyed it till end of the tournament. Dinner boxes also served in the end of the tournament at the ground to the all team players, spectators and team supporters.
The tournament supported by the match umpires and match scorers Mr.Zaigham Abbas, Mr.Mustali Poonawala and Mr.Mohammad Saeed. The organizing committee members worked hard to make this event success specially Mr.Naseem Ahmed Qureshi Sports Secretary H.O, Mr.Syed Jaweed Envor Rizvi and Mr. Faisal Gulzar. Mr. Khalid Ashfaq Ahmed of S.I.T.E. Division was the Coordinator and Field Manager of this night cricket tournament. Mr.Syed Jaweed Envor Rizvi Chief Coordinator of EFU FRIENDS NETWORK and the Chief Organizer of this grand event presented soviniour to Mr.Hasanali Abdullah the Joint Managing Director EFU GENERAL INSURANCE LIMITED and the Chief Guest of the EFU 3-STAR TAPE BALL NIGHT CRICKET TOURNAMENT-2011. Mr.Hasanali Abdullah Joint Managing Director EFU General Insurance Ltd ,Mr.Jaffer Dossa Sr. Executive Director and Head of the Southern Zone , Mr.Iqbal Lodhi Sr. Executive Director and Head of EFU- Jinnah Division also distributed the trophies to the winner and runner-up of H.O indoor games tournament winners.
