Insurance portal cricket tournament 2011 was held on Saturday 5th March, 2011 at the Lush Green Kokan Cricket Ground Bahadurabad Karachi. This tournament was organized by M/s Orix Leasing Pakistan limited and Mr. Mujahid Ali Mirza was the chief organizer of this event.
The tournament was played between the cricket teams or Orix leasing Pakistan Ltd, EFU General Insurance Limited, Adamjee Insurance Company Limited and New Jubilee Insurance Company Limited. The tournament won by EFU General Insurance Limited and Mr.Teizoon Kisat the C.E.O. Orix Leasing Pakistan Limited who was the chief guest of the tournament distributed the shields to Mr. Muhammad Nasir of EFU General Insurance Ltd. in recognition of his services for providing portal service to Orix Leasing Pakistan Ltd, man of the match award given to Mr. Nadeem Baig and Mr. Ahmed Nawaz of EFU General Insurance Limited. Mr. Syed Jaweed Envor Rizvi was awarded the shield for coordination in the tournament and for his services for portal service. Runner up trophy received by Mr. Mujahid Ali Mirza the captain of Orix Leasing Pakistan Limited cricket team and winners trophy received by Mr. Rizwan Hussain captain of EFU General Insurance Limited cricket team. Mr. salman Rashid S. E. D. EFU General Insurance Limited, Mr. Abdul Sattar Baloch, Mr. Syed Jaweed Envor Rizvi (chief coordinator of the tournament from EFU) Mr. Faisal Gulzar (coordinator), Mr. Nadir Hussain, Mr. Shamim Pervez, Mr. Amanullah khan, Mr.Faisal Jafri, Mr. Syed Iftikhar Ahmed, Mr. Naseem Ahmad Qureshi (sports secretary) EFU General Insurance Limited was also present through out the day to motivate the cricket teams and players. Mr. Jaffer Dossa S.E.D southern zone EFU General Insurance Ltd grassed the tournament with his presence and in his presence EFU General cricket team won the second match with new jubilee Insurance Ltd cricket team. Adamjee Insurance and New Jubilee Insurance top official were also present to boost the moral of their team players till the end of the tournament . Mr. Abdul Sattar Baloch (deputy executive director) EFU General Insurance also gave a souvenir to ex Pakistani team cricketer Mr. Azeem Hafeez who was also present at the occasion to motivate the crowed and the players. A large number of spectators were present at the Kokan cricket ground to see this tournament till its end. Lunch, tea and refreshments also served to the players and the spectators by the organizers of this tournament. Media coverage provided by M/s Elcon Communications and media representatives of Metro one T.V, Dunia news, Daily Nawai Waqt and other sports magazines were also present for the print media and electronic media coverage”.
